Ava is now a US citizen. We had the court hearing for her readoption, and it went wonderfully. Once you have all the paperwork in, it’s just a formality, really.  The judge asked us some questions for the record, then some off the record where we got a chance to gush about our daughter. Then someone (the clerk, maybe?) clicked pictures of us with the judge, and it was done! It will take about a year to get her US birth certificate, but the readoption is done.
