How time flies by when you’re having fun. Ava’s been home with us for almost two months now, and things are going great!  Some days, it feels like she’s always been with us, and some days it feels like we are just getting to know her.  Of course, we have annoying and frustrating days too, but, for the most part, Ava is a happy baby and loves to be around people.

We think she is starting to bond with us too. Initially, she would go to any adult happily, but over the last few days, she has actually been asking to come back to one of us if somebody else is carrying her for too long. I’m sure that will get annoying soon, but right now we’re basking in the “Oh, my baby wants me” phase! *smile*

Our baby is now babbling, speed cruising, and can stand on her own for maybe a couple of seconds before she falls down.  She is also trying to walk, she can take a step or two before she falls, and once actually took 4 steps! We were so impressed! Now we will get fitter running after her all the time *smile*

We’ve started Ava on swimming classes designed to teach her to float.  Maybe once she learns how to swim, she can teach Mommy, as that is something Mommy has never learnt.

We really feel blessed and privileged that she is our daughter – we can’t wait for her to have a little sibling so that she can show us what a wonderful big sister she is!
